Appliance and equipment
installation
in the Bay Area

Most of the appliance failures we get called to in year two started as an installation problem in year one. A built-in with no condenser clearance, a gas range never converted for the fuel it's running on, a dishwasher drain without an air gap, a dryer venting into a crushed flex duct. We install the same equipment we repair, which means we install it the way we wish everyone else would.

What we service

Equipment we install.

Built-in & panel-ready refrigeration

Columns, integrated refrigerators and undercounter units set into cabinetry, where clearance and door alignment decide how the appliance lives for the next decade.

  • Cavity clearance and ventilation verification
  • Panel fitting and door alignment
  • Water line and filter connection
  • Levelling, anti-tip and securing

Gas ranges, cooktops & ovens

Gas and dual-fuel cooking equipment, including LP conversion where the property isn't on natural gas.

  • Gas line connection and leak testing
  • LP and natural gas conversion
  • Anti-tip bracket and levelling
  • Ventilation clearance to combustibles

Dishwashers, laundry & water connections

Dishwashers, washers and dryers, including stacked and closet installations in tight Bay Area spaces.

  • Supply, drain and air gap installation
  • Dryer venting and duct correction
  • Stacking kits and closet installs
  • Leak testing and first-cycle verification

Commercial equipment installation

Line equipment, refrigeration and ventilation for restaurants and commercial kitchens.

  • Commercial gas connection and pressure setting
  • Hood and ventilation installation
  • Refrigeration placement and clearance
  • Start-up, calibration and handover

Common failures

Installation mistakes we get called to fix.

No clearance around built-in refrigeration

The most consequential installation mistake there is. A built-in that can't breathe runs hot for its whole life, and the compressor pays for it years later. The specification exists for a reason and it's rarely followed.

Gas appliances never converted for the actual fuel

Hillside and rural Bay Area properties often run propane, not natural gas. An appliance running on the wrong orifices burns badly, wastes fuel and sooties — and it's a straightforward conversion done at install.

Dishwasher drains without an air gap or high loop

Waste water siphons back into the machine. It's a code requirement, it's cheap to do correctly, and it's skipped constantly.

Dryers vented into crushed or over-long ducting

A dryer that has to push air through a flattened flex duct with four elbows will take two cycles to dry and run hot doing it. Lint accumulates in the restriction, and that's the failure that starts fires.

Heavy equipment not levelled, secured or anti-tipped

Ranges need anti-tip brackets, front-load washers need levelling or they walk. Both are five-minute jobs at install and expensive problems afterwards.

Water lines run in the wrong material or unsupported

Plastic supply lines behind an appliance nobody will look at for ten years. When one lets go it does so unattended, and it's usually a flooring claim rather than an appliance repair.

How we work

How we install.

We install what we repair

Every installation mistake on this page is one we've been called out to fix later. That's exactly why we check clearances, conversions and connections rather than treating an install as a delivery.

Gas connections leak-tested and documented

Every gas appliance we connect is pressure tested before we leave, and the conversion — where one was needed — is recorded so the next technician knows what fuel it's set for.

Tested on a full cycle before we go

A dishwasher gets run, a refrigerator gets checked down to temperature, a dryer gets airflow verified at the outside vent. Signed off working, not signed off connected.

We tell you when the space is the problem

If a cabinet cavity is undersized, a gas line can't carry the load, or a vent run can't be made to work, you'll hear it before we start rather than after. Better an awkward conversation than an appliance that fails for a decade.

Equipment and areas we cover

Built-in, integrated, column and undercounter refrigeration, wine cabinets, gas, electric, dual-fuel and induction ranges, cooktops and wall ovens, range hoods and ventilation, dishwashers, washers and dryers including stacked and closet installations, ice makers and water lines, plus commercial refrigeration, cooking equipment and hood installation. Residential and commercial across San Francisco, the Peninsula, South Bay and Marin.

Service area

Installation across the Bay Area.

Residential and commercial installation from San Francisco down to the South Bay and out to Marin.

Questions

Before you call.

Do you install appliances you didn't supply?

Yes. We install equipment bought anywhere — from a dealer, online or already sitting in the garage. What matters is that it goes in correctly, not where it came from.

What's involved in installing a built-in refrigerator?

More than setting it in the opening. The cavity has to meet the manufacturer's clearance and ventilation specification, the unit gets levelled and secured, panels are fitted and aligned, the water line is connected and tested, and the unit is checked down to temperature before we sign it off. Clearance is the part that gets skipped and the part that matters most.

Can you convert a gas range to propane?

Yes, using the manufacturer's conversion kit for that specific model. Propane runs at a different pressure and needs different burner orifices — done properly the appliance burns exactly as designed, done wrong it wastes fuel and burns sooty. It's common work on hillside properties around Los Gatos and in Marin.

Do you handle the gas and water connections, or do I need a plumber?

We handle the appliance connections — gas line, supply, drain and venting — and we leak-test gas before leaving. If the work needs a new gas run, a re-pipe or anything structural, we'll say so plainly and tell you what trade it belongs to.

Can you install commercial kitchen equipment?

Yes — line equipment, commercial refrigeration and hood installation, including gas connection and pressure setting, start-up and calibration. Commercial installs are scheduled around your service hours the same way our repairs are.

Will you take away the old appliance?

In most cases yes — tell us when booking so the technician arrives with room in the van and we can quote the disposal upfront rather than as a surprise on the day.
