Do you need special access to come onto campus for a repair?
In most cases we just need advance notice — some housing areas require a visitor pass, which we arrange before the appointment.
Are Stanford faculty homes different to service than a normal house?
Not mechanically — most are 1950s–70s construction similar to nearby Palo Alto. The difference is logistical: campus access and, occasionally, university facilities coordination.
