Ductwork service
in the Bay Area

In older Bay Area housing stock, leaking ducts routinely waste a quarter of everything the furnace produces. Sealing them is usually the cheapest comfort upgrade in the whole house.

Symptoms

What we see most.

If any of this sounds like your unit, the diagnosis is usually straightforward and the repair is same-visit.

One room is always colder

Disconnected or crushed duct runs, or a system that was never balanced after a remodel.

Bills climb while comfort doesn't

Conditioned air leaking into a crawlspace or attic before it ever reaches a room.

Dust returns days after cleaning

Return-side leaks pulling attic and crawlspace air straight into your living space.

Whistling or booming when the system starts

Undersized returns or loose sheet metal — noisy, and hard on the blower.

Pricing

Priced after diagnosis, not before.

Parts and labor for ductwork service vary too much by brand and fault to publish a flat rate honestly. A technician diagnoses the issue on site and gives you the exact price in writing — nothing starts until you approve it, and the diagnostic fee is applied to the repair.

Questions

Before you call.

How often should ducts be cleaned?

Far less often than the ads claim — every five to seven years for most homes, sooner after renovation work or if there's been rodent activity.

My house is from the 1950s. Should I worry about the old duct wrap?

Insulation from that era can contain asbestos. We don't disturb suspect material — we stop and refer you to a licensed abatement contractor. Nobody should be tearing that out casually.

Is sealing better than replacing?

Usually, and by a wide margin on cost. Replacement makes sense when runs are crushed, undersized or contaminated.
