Wolf repair
in the Bay Area
Wolf is the cooking half of the Sub-Zero group, and it's the range you'll find in a large share of remodelled Bay Area kitchens. The engineering is genuinely professional — dual-stacked sealed burners, infrared broilers and griddles — and those signature features are precisely where the service calls concentrate, because they're doing things a conventional range doesn't attempt.

Common failures
What goes wrong on Wolf.
Infrared broiler or griddle stops heating evenly
Wolf's infrared elements run hotter than conventional ones and they're the feature people notice failing first. Diagnosis means checking the element and its control separately rather than assuming the worst.
Dual-stacked burner won't light on low
The lower simmer ring is a separate flame path, and it clogs before the main burner does. Cleaning the port usually restores it without any parts.
Igniter or spark module weakens
The burner clicks without lighting. Very common on professional ranges that get heavy use, and generally a contained repair.
Control board fails after self-clean
Self-clean pushes extreme heat through the cavity and the electronics near it. Board and door-lock failures cluster right after those cycles.
Oven temperature drifts out of calibration
A sensor that's shifted twenty or thirty degrees ruins results without ever looking broken. Often correctable without replacing anything.
Heavy doors sag on their hinges
Pro-series doors weigh a lot. Hinges that lose tension leave a heat-escaping gap and throw off baking long before the door visibly hangs wrong.

How we approach it
What's different about servicing Wolf.
The signature features need specific technique
Infrared broilers, dual-stacked burners and griddles aren't conventional components. Servicing them properly means knowing how they're meant to behave, not just testing for continuity.
Same group as Sub-Zero and Cove
Wolf sits alongside Sub-Zero refrigeration and Cove dishwashers, and we service all three — useful when a kitchen is fitted out entirely from that group.
Gas work is leak-tested every time
Any job that opens a gas connection ends with a pressure test before we close up. That isn't optional here.
Pro equipment is heavy and built in
Rangetops and double wall ovens frequently need two technicians to pull safely. Tell us the configuration when booking so we send the right crew.
Model lines we service
Gas and dual-fuel ranges, rangetops, gas, electric and induction cooktops, M series and E series wall ovens, convection steam and speed ovens, drawer microwaves, warming drawers and outdoor grills.

Questions
Before you call.
My Wolf simmer burner won't stay lit. What's wrong?
Usually the lower ring of the dual-stacked burner is clogged. It's a separate flame path from the main burner and it fouls first — cleaning the port normally fixes it without parts.
Do you service the infrared griddle and charbroiler?
Yes. They're among the more distinctive Wolf components and we diagnose the element and its control separately before quoting anything.
Should I run the self-clean cycle on a Wolf oven?
Sparingly. We see a clear cluster of control board and door lock failures in the days right after self-clean runs.
Do you service Sub-Zero and Cove too?
Yes, all three come from the same group and we work on the full set — refrigeration, cooking and dishwashers.
Can you convert a Wolf range between natural gas and propane?
Yes, using the manufacturer's conversion kit for that specific model. We don't improvise conversions.
How much does Wolf repair cost?
It ranges widely — an igniter or a burner clean sits at one end, a control board or infrared element at the other. We diagnose first and quote in writing.
