What goes wrong on KitchenAid.
Dishwasher stops cleaning properly
The most frequent KitchenAid call. Usually the wash motor losing pressure or a filter nobody has cleaned since installation — and it fades gradually rather than failing outright, so it gets blamed on detergent first.
Control board faults after self-clean
Wall oven self-clean cycles run extreme heat through the cavity and everything near it. Board and door-lock failures cluster in the days right after a self-clean.
Ice maker assembly stops producing
Common across the refrigerator line, and usually contained to the assembly or fill valve rather than anything in the sealed system.
Oven temperature drifts out of calibration
A sensor that's shifted by twenty or thirty degrees produces consistently wrong results without ever appearing broken. Often correctable without parts.
Dishwasher door latch or hinge wears
The latch tells the board the door is shut. When it wears, the machine simply won't start, which reads like a much bigger electrical fault.
Panel-ready doors fall out of alignment
Custom panels add weight and adjustment points. Doors that no longer sit flush are a hinge and alignment job rather than an appliance fault.

Panel-ready work is part of the job
Integrated dishwashers and refrigerators carry custom cabinetry panels. Removing and refitting them correctly, so the doors sit flush afterwards, is part of the repair.
Self-clean is worth using sparingly
We see a clear cluster of board and lock failures right after self-clean cycles. Manual cleaning costs an hour and materially extends the oven's life.
We service major appliances, not stand mixers
Worth saying plainly, since it comes up: countertop mixers and small appliances aren't something we repair. Dishwashers, ovens, refrigeration and cooking equipment are.

Usually not. It's normally the wash motor losing pressure or a filter that's never been cleaned. Both are straightforward, and we check the filter before quoting any part.
