Common failures
What goes wrong on Dacor.
Control board and connectivity faults on newer units
Post-acquisition Dacor equipment carries far more electronics than the older generation. Boards and smart modules are a more frequent cause on these than on the legacy units.
Igniter or spark module weakens
Professional-style burners work their igniters hard. The burner clicks without lighting and the fix is usually contained.
Steam and sous vide water systems scale up
Any appliance running water through a heating system collects Bay Area mineral scale. Descaling is real maintenance on these, not an optional extra.
Oven drifts off calibration
A shifted sensor produces consistently wrong results on equipment bought for precision cooking. Frequently correctable without parts.
Parts sourcing differs by generation
Legacy Dacor and Samsung-era Dacor don't always share components. Identifying which generation you have is the first step before anything is ordered.
Built-in refrigeration condenser clogs
Same as every cabinetry-integrated refrigerator — the condenser needs clearing periodically and almost nobody is told that at installation.

My Dacor steam oven is underperforming. What's the cause?
Usually mineral scale in the water system. Descaling on this equipment is genuine maintenance in a hard-water area, not an optional extra.
Do you service Dacor built-in refrigeration?

Can you convert a Dacor range between natural gas and propane?
