Cove repair
in the Bay Area

Cove is the newest name on this list and the narrowest — it makes dishwashers and nothing else. It's the Sub-Zero group's answer to completing a kitchen that already has Sub-Zero refrigeration and a Wolf range, and it's built to that standard. Because the line is relatively recent, most Cove calls we take are installation-related or single-component faults rather than age-related wear.

What we service

Cove equipment we work on.

Built-in & panel-ready dishwashers

The full Cove line, almost always installed as fully integrated units behind custom cabinetry panels.

  • Drain pump and sump service
  • Wash motor and spray arm repair
  • Door latch, hinge and seal faults
  • Panel alignment and door balance

Controls, sensors & water systems

The electronic and plumbing side, where most Cove faults on a relatively young line actually sit.

  • Control board fault diagnosis
  • Leak sensor and float faults
  • Water inlet valve service
  • Drain line and disposal connection

Common failures

What goes wrong on Cove.

Water left standing in the bottom

The most common Cove call, and usually a drain restriction rather than a pump failure — frequently the disposal knockout plug left in place at installation.

Dishes stop coming out clean

Spray arm jets clogging with Bay Area mineral scale, or a filter that hasn't been cleaned since the kitchen was finished.

Door won't latch or sits proud

Custom cabinetry panels add weight and change the door balance. Latch and hinge adjustment is a routine job on integrated units like these.

Leak sensor trips and stops the cycle

The machine cuts off when it detects water in the base. Sometimes it clears, but a recurring trip means there's a genuine leak upstream to find.

Control board faults

Less common on a line this young, but they happen. We diagnose to the specific fault rather than defaulting to a full board.

Installation issues rather than machine faults

On newer Cove units a meaningful share of what we're called out to traces back to how the unit was fitted, not to the appliance itself.

How we approach it

What's different about servicing Cove.

A single-product brand

Cove makes dishwashers only. Everything about the design is aimed at that one job, which makes the failure list short and predictable.

Almost always fully integrated

These are fitted behind custom panels as part of the cabinetry. Removing and refitting one, and getting the door to sit flush afterwards, is part of the repair.

A young line, so wear faults are rarer

Cove launched relatively recently. Most of what we see is installation-related or a single component, not the accumulated wear we find on older dishwashers.

Same group as Sub-Zero and Wolf

If your kitchen is fitted out from that group, we service the refrigeration, the cooking and the dishwasher rather than sending you to three companies.

Model lines we service

DW2450 and DW2450WS built-in dishwashers, panel-ready and stainless configurations. Part of the Sub-Zero group alongside Sub-Zero refrigeration and Wolf cooking equipment.

Service area

Cove service across the Bay Area.

Same technicians, same warranty, same pricing rules, from San Francisco down to the South Bay and out to Marin.

Questions

Before you call.

My Cove dishwasher isn't draining. What's the usual cause?

Most often a drain restriction rather than the pump. A very common one on newer installations is the garbage disposal knockout plug never being removed when the dishwasher was fitted.

Do you service panel-ready Cove dishwashers?

Yes, including removing and refitting the custom cabinetry panel and rebalancing the door afterwards.

Does Cove make anything besides dishwashers?

No — it's a single-product brand within the Sub-Zero group. Sub-Zero covers refrigeration and Wolf covers cooking, and we service all three.

Why are dishes coming out with a white film?

That's Bay Area hard water rather than a fault. Rinse aid and periodic descaling handle it, and we'll show you before selling you any part.

Is Cove worth repairing?

Yes. It's a premium machine and generally young, so a single component failure is well worth fixing.

How fast can you come out for a Cove repair?

Same-day in most cases when you call before early afternoon. A dishwasher leaking onto flooring is treated as a priority.
