Bosch repair
in the Bay Area

Bosch dishwashers are the most common premium dishwasher in Bay Area kitchens, and a real share of the calls we get about them turn out to be the machine working exactly as designed. Condensation drying leaves plastics damp on purpose; that's not a fault. The genuine failures are a short, predictable list, and the machine usually tells us which one it is.

Common failures

What goes wrong on Bosch.

E15 error and a dishwasher that won't start

Water has reached the base pan and tripped the AquaStop float. Sometimes it drains and resets; often there's a genuine slow leak upstream that needs finding rather than resetting.

Dishes come out damp — usually not a fault

Bosch uses condensation drying rather than a heating element on most models. Plastics staying damp is the design working as intended, and rinse aid makes a real difference here.

Drain pump blocked or failing

Glass fragments, produce stickers and food debris get past the filter and jam the pump. Common, contained and usually a same-visit fix.

Door latch or hinge wears out

The latch tells the control board the door is closed. When it wears, the machine simply refuses to start, which reads like a much bigger electrical problem than it is.

Spray arms clog with mineral scale

Bay Area hard water narrows the jets gradually. Wash quality fades over months rather than failing suddenly, so it usually gets blamed on detergent first.

Control module faults after years of humidity

A dishwasher lives in a wet environment by design, and eventually that reaches a board connection. We diagnose the specific fault before quoting a full module.

On the job

Bosch equipment we've worked on.

A stacked Bosch pair. Compact laundry in a closet means restricted venting and tight access, and both shape how the dryer performs long before anything fails.

How we approach it

What's different about servicing Bosch.

Fault codes shorten the diagnosis

Bosch codes the common failures specifically. Reading the code first keeps us from opening the machine up to look for something it's already told us.

Condensation drying is the most misdiagnosed 'fault'

It's worth ruling out before anyone pays for a repair. We'd rather explain how the drying system works than sell you a part you don't need.

Shared platform with Thermador and Gaggenau

Bosch sits in the same group, which often helps with parts commonality and diagnostic approach across all three brands.

Integrated installs need careful removal

Panel-ready and fully integrated dishwashers are fitted to surrounding cabinetry. Pulling and refitting one correctly is part of the job.

Model lines we service

100, 300, 500 and 800 series dishwashers plus Benchmark, 24-inch compact washers and dryers, built-in wall ovens, gas and induction cooktops.

Service area

Bosch service across the Bay Area.

Same technicians, same warranty, same pricing rules, from San Francisco down to the South Bay and out to Marin.

Questions

Before you call.

What does E15 mean on my Bosch dishwasher?

Water has collected in the base pan and tripped the leak sensor. Sometimes it clears after draining, but a recurring E15 means there's an actual leak to find — resetting it repeatedly just delays the real repair.

Why are my dishes still wet at the end of the cycle?

Most Bosch models dry by condensation rather than with a heating element, so plastics in particular stay damp. It's how the machine is designed to work. Rinse aid noticeably improves it.

Are Bosch dishwashers worth repairing?

Generally yes. The common failures — pump, latch, spray arms — are contained repairs on a machine that otherwise has plenty of service life left.

Do you service panel-ready and integrated Bosch dishwashers?

Yes, including removal from and refit into surrounding cabinetry.

Can you work on Bosch compact 24-inch laundry?

Yes, including stacked installations in the tight laundry closets that are standard in Bay Area apartments.

How fast can you get to a Bosch call?

Same-day in most cases when you call before early afternoon. A dishwasher actively leaking onto flooring is treated as a priority.
